Job Description and Duties
Under the direction of the State Water Project (SWP) Energy Management System (EMS) Branch, Functional Services Section Senior Control Engineer (Supervisor), the incumbent will assist with asset management aspects such as asset history maintenance, risk evaluations, priority standing and maintenance management of all Utility Power Systems Services (UPSS) assets which may include hardware/software/firmware running on Control Systems, Energy Management Systems, and Network/Communication Systems. The UPSS Asset Engineer collaborates with other asset engineers, planner schedulers, and plant maintenance staff from DWR Headquarters, Field Divisions, and Asset Management and Maintenance Management offices. In addition, the UPSS Asset Engineer works closely with all three UPSS branches; Control System Branch (CSB), Energy Management Systems (EMS) branch, and Network/Communications (Comm) Branch to manage the maintenance of UPSS assets.
