Job Description

A Warehouse employee is responsible for insuring stock on shelves are replenished and to stock material when received.  This includes unloading material from delivery trucks and place into stock using RF gun system plus cutting wire as specified from customer orders. Warehouse employee should be detailed oriented, a good communicator and provide a positive and professional attitude to all customer, vendors, and employees. Additional duties include operating a forklift, working in the wire room and general warehouse duties.

Essential Duties:             

  • Down stocking: replenishing stock using RF gun to move material from inventory to primary location for order fillers. 
  • Stocking material from receiving department.
  • Receiving: unload material from delivery trucks, count material and refer to the bill of lading for correct quantity. Use RF gun to scan material into inventory, date stamp, initial and file order for management’s review.
  • Forklift operator: drives forklift to unload material from delivery trucks. Also, stock and loading of pallet racking.
  • Daily uses RF gun to check for material from prior day that needs to be put back into inventory.
  • As needed, reviews tickets for wire cuts to ensure the wire can be cut from a specific location. If not, the cutter will manually change locations and give a copy of work ticket to the Inventory Manager.
  • As needed, using a Wemco machine, measures wire cuts to the proper length.  Uses coil machine to coil wire for specific lengths.
  • As needed, down stock wire into primary location.
  • Daily cleans up warehouse by sweeping, picking up and empty trash.

Responsibilities:

  • Backup up for Wire Cutter and Will Call department.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent.
