The Concrete Foreman’s main function is to oversee the field crew and manage the job site with the following activities but not limited to: form footings, form walls and piers, place reinforcing, set up slabs, pour finish slabs, pour and finish sidewalks.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Crew Management: Training, task assignment, scheduling, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring and appraising performance, recommending compensation actions, ensuring they are adhering to policies and procedures, and disciplinary actions as needed
- Collect, sign, and turn in timecards by Sunday each week
- Meets operational standards by maintaining production, productivity, quality, customer-service, safety, resolving problems, and identifying areas for improvement
- Work with the Project Manager and Purchasing Manager to manage field equipment including, ordering, calling off, communicating issues, and efficient use while onsite
- Ensures that all employees are equipped with required personal tools
- Understand blueprints, sketches, and shop drawings
- Report to work prior to crew start time
- Ability to be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Skills and Abilities & Knowledge:
- 5+ years of experience is required (3 years of running work)
- Ability to drive a company vehicle, Insurable under the company’s vehicle policy
- Must be able to read commercial construction drawings
- Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and written
- Knowledge of construction management processes and procedures
- Must be able to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including general contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, superintendents, managers, and co-workers
- Ability to work independently and be detail oriented, analytical and have problem solving capabilities
- Must be able to follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.

Physical Requirements:
- Clean DMV record
- Availability to report to different shift schedules as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to navigate active jobsites. This includes being able to safely walk stairs, scaffold, and uneven ground, as well as duck and maneuver around obstacles.
