Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create a positive interactive experience for our customers using email, text, phone, and in person meetings to instill confidence that BlackPine was the right choice
  • Maintain a clean and presentable site at all times
  • Ensure jobsite (OSHA) safety standards are being met and practiced
  • Monitor and hold trades accountable for adhering to our SWPPP
  • Schedule project and all trades associated with project to meet completion objectives
  • Create a positive working environment for fellow coworkers, trades, and inspectors
  • Walk homes daily to set and obtain quality levels expected of BlackPine
  • Maintain weekly status reports
  • Approve work for completion and payment of trade partners
  • Conduct weekly safety meetings
  • Work with Community Sales Manager to ensure model homes are presentable
  • Assist in warranty calls as needed
  • Schedule and walk all inspections
  • Monitor budgets and work to achieve them
  • Provide input on scope of work updates
  • Provide feedback on plan issues that will create warranty or additional unforeseen costs
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • A high school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree and additional vocational training preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of high volume residential construction experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
  • 4 – 6 years prior related work experience


Skills:

 

  • Must be familiar with California general contracting procedures
  • Knowledge of construction building codes                         
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Firm understanding of construction estimating and scheduling practices
  • Understands how to lead cross functional teams
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products
